NOW YOU SEE ME, NOW YOU DONT

Well.....   I tried, I truly did.  I was kind to others, I was polite to the rude, I was generous to the greedy, and I usually added something welcome to the downtown area of San Jose.

For the past few years, I have been a street musician in downtown San Jose.  Many have commented that I was a welcome addition. 

As of late, I've found it impossible to make a living here.  The theives, the beggers, the junkies...  they lead a nice life here.  Do the right thing, and nothing good will come of it.

The justice system is also a reason for me to leave.  Its broken, and I have been laying under the rubble of its shattered mass.  It's labeled me as one of the most viel people in society.  It's taken money from me.  It's caused me grief and anguish.  I shall treat it like one would a child that doesn't know how to treat its toys in a correct manner.  I shall simply takes it's toy away from it. 

Where am I going....   To the northwest....  I have no desire to even be in this state any longer.

I expect to be out of San Jose by monday of next week  (6/28/11), and if plans hold true, I won't ever be back here....

I  have treated you well San Jose....    Why did you choose to treat me badly ????

LANCE THE DOPER

I was listening to the radio last nite, and heard what, for me, was just earth rattling news, but news that I suspected.

Seems George Hincappie has told a grand jury that he, along with Lance, were using EPO.  Now when someone like George Hincappie speaks, I listen.  When George Hincappie says he was racing dirty, and so was Lance, it makes me almost want to stop following the world of cycling, almost.

I'm not walking away from the sport just because of the cheaters.  Lance is no longer credible, should have all his Tours stripped, and if I had one, I would imediately remove my yellow wrist band.

LANCE IS A CHEAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Eddy might have used back in his day.  One can't say for certain, but Lance never was  Eddy....  Eddy could do it all, Lance was a  'one trick pony'.

Lance has proved to be a dirt bag time and again. This is the guy that walked away from the woman that got him through cancer, then walked away from another woman while she was suffering from cancer.  Have to wonder how the Livestrong people explain that.

Livestrong is absolutely worth backing.  They do alot of good things for alot of sick people.  As far as Lance goes though, if he were in the same room, I'd turn my back on him.   I, as many, for so long, stood up and loudly proclaimed,  'LANCE RACES CLEAN!!!!'.    I was wrong...   Lance raced dirty!!!!!!!!!!!

I have one thing to say to Lance, if he rolled by....
"DOPEI, DOPEI, DOPEI !!!!"

I can't, and never have said I'm a spokeman for the world of cycling. That would be rediculous, but from my perspective, and from my corner of the world, to lance I say....   "Get out of my sport, you're not welcome anymore, DOPEI, DOPEI, DOPEI!!!!!"

Hey Lance, don't show your face in San Jose.

I just noticed that one of the points on my profile lists THIS blog as heavy in cycling photos...   Not true, at least not anymore....   Cycling photos...   go to   sjfluteguy.web.com and click on the cycling photos icon...   that'll get you cycling photos....

Now I'm not typically at odds with the SJPD, but when a couple dozen of them stand around, drinking coffee, and are DIRECTLY IN FRONT OF ME, so that I don't make squat....  well, then we have an issue.  Now if the SJPD is going to pay their cops overtime pay, you'd think that they could actually go out and do things like, oh I don't know..... cop stuff.... patrol, watch for crimes, police the area....   not drink coffee and interfere with my livelyhood....    but as of late, thats about all they know how to do....    Sooooo, when it comes time for  SJPD layoffs....  don't expect any sympathy from me....   

Cheap, cheap, and cheap....     I'm becoming more and more convinced that playing music by starbucks in the AM hours is pointless, and a waste of breath.  Time to venture out, and find more fruitfull grounds....   like in the direction of  Mexico....    Time to learn spanish I think....

Ok republicans....  have I got the great notion for y'all.  Want a ticket thats sure to beat Mr. O  in the next election  (trust me on this one, ok)....   sure, I'm a left wing, commie pinko liberal, but I'm gonna let you in on a GRAND idea...  I figure I'll probably be dead by then anywayz....   for your 2012 presidential ticket...  for the sure win....

JUST MUSING....

Ah, the joys of being an unemployed homeless street musician, sharing computer space with a bunch of rude pigs.

Yes, even as nice as the San Jose main library is, and it is extremely nice, it never ceases to amaze me what kind of behaviour one sees here. Between the grunts, the belchs, and the various neandrathals (sp?) that let the world know how their mucus membranes are doing...

Anyhowz.... again, I prepare for the start of another weekend. To see if the right wing idjits destroy my business tonite, if the crowd is even half way generous, and the debate as to wether to play farmers market tommorrow AM occupies my mind, on occasion.

To those that say, "Well, go play somewhere else" or the people that insist on parking next to me, and wait for conversation, or just the general annoyances out there, to you......

WHAT I DO

You may ask, "what the hell do you do for a living ?" which I may very well respond "None of your frickin business", but since you asked, and I'm in a typing mood....

I'm a street musician, working different areas of downtown San Jose.
First off, let me say, if you're even remotely related to me, which only applies to a small handful of people, DO NOT come find me.... I don't want to see or hear from any of you!

I play a mix between pop, rock, and jazz.... From Beatles, to Herbie Mann, to movie pieces. It's a profession that's serving me well, usually.

There are those days where the 'passer bys' are incredibly cheap (like today) and I almost make enough to eat.... Then there are the other days, that allow me to earn enough to go hit the 'EZ8' motel, to shower, and pig out, and watch the idiot box.

The people and entities that step on my gig though.... Lets see... Besides the cheap assholes, that are just cheap, we have the right wing religious zealots. Nothing screws up my business more than some religious lunatics screaming their hate message.

Today, at this moment, theres two groups that I find repulsive and not worth their weight in dog crap.... The cheap shits, and the religious zealots.... take your pick.... assholes are assholes....

So.... the answer to your question, "what do you do".... I get up in the morning, I make noise, go to the library, make more noise, then go sleep.... exciting? Hell no. Does it work for me. Yes.
